Lawrence Cyril Brekosky

Lawrence C. Brekosky, of West Homestead, passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 92. 

He was the beloved husband of 68 years of the late Mary L. (Behun) Brekosky; loving father of Susan (Michael) Anthony of Bethlehem, PA, Lawrence (Paula) Brekosky of Ephrata, PA. and Donna (Glenn) Reidenbaugh of Canonsburg, PA, and the late Mary Kay (Vincent survives) Vuoto of Rockville Centre, NY; adoring grandfather of Vincent (Rachel) and Michael (Christy) Vuoto, Stephen Anthony, David (Morgan) Anthony, Rachel (Michael) Villanueva, and Leah (Ian) Miller, Lauren (Mitchell) Way, Madie (Andrew) Pare, Matthew (Carly) Brekosky, and the late Baby Anna Brekosky, and Hannah (Will) Graziani and Patrick (Riley) Reidenbaugh; great-grandfather of twenty with three on the way; son of the late John, Sr., and Susan (Yesko) Brekosky; brother of James (the late Florence) Brekosky, and the late John Brekosky, Jr. and Regis (the late Barbara) Brekosky; also survived by generations of nieces and nephews.

Larry was a Supervisor at the U.S. Steel Homestead Works and a proud Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and, in addition to his professional accomplishments, was a licensed private pilot.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 15, 1-3 & 6-8 PM, at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 16, 10 AM, at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Homestead. Interment will follow at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery, Munhall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Appalachia Work Camp c/o Trish DiGiannurio, 1 St. Therese Court, Munhall, PA 15120.
